Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day, while failure is simply a few errors in judgment, repeated every day. It is the accumulative weight of our disciplines and our judgments that leads us to either fortune or failure. -Jim Rohn
The Science of Getting Rich - it is the noblest

GETTING STARTED TIPS:
I'm
starting a home business next month. I have a maximum of $3,000 in start-up
capital. Where should I invest it?
Find a business that interests you, invest part of it to get started and part
for your advertising and other expenses.
I've
just started a home business. My spouse has given me six months to make it
work. Any advice?
I would read my article that I offered above. It gives you a formula for making
money quickly. I use the contents of that article in my daily life. It is
probably the most valuable information I ever came across.
They
say it takes money to make money. Should I try to get a small business loan
for my start-up capital or just try to get by with my own limited finances?
Yes. It is a good idea to get a loan for the money you need. If you do this,
make absolutely certain that you are 100% committed to doing whatever it takes
for as long as it takes to make it work.
TECHNOLOGY & TOOLS:
How
quickly do you adopt new technology for your business?
I adopt new technology into my business very quickly. One of my main goals
for my home business is to automate it as much as possible. So when new technology
comes out that could either save me time or money or make me more money, I
am quick to invest into it. However, I try never to be one of the first to
do it. I wait for
others to use it, hear their feedback, learn from their mistakes, and then
implement.
How
do you use e-mail in your business?
I am constantly answering and sending e-mails to conduct and market my business.
How
do you utilize the Internet?
My entire business is based on the Internet.

you use autoresponders?
Yes. I use them to follow up with people automatically.
If
you use a toll-free number, what is its primary use?
I use it as a way for prospects to get ahold of me.
If
you use voicemail, what is your primary use for it?
I use voicemail anytime I am not available to answer a call.
Describe
your computer system and how you use computers in your business.
I have 2 computers: a laptop and a desktop. I also always use a printer
What
software do you consider in the "must-have" category?
Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Name up to five personal favorite business URL's our readers can benefit from:
http://www.makemoneyatwill.com/
http://www.brilliantexchange.com/
Of all the technology you use, rank the top three.
Computer and the Internet—without those I have absolutely no business.
Telephone—another must-have to connect with prospects.
Autoresponder—it's like having a secretary send out personalized e-mails 24/7.

Do
you recommend using a toll-free number in advertising?
Yes. It makes it more risk free to your prospects.
Where
do you market?
Mainly nationally.
THE HOME OFFICE:
How
should someone set up his/her home office to maximize its effectiveness?
Totally depends on likes/dislikes and personality types. Just make sure to
keep it clean. Clutter clutters the mind and diverts attention.
What,
if any, ground rules have you established for yourself and family in order
to operate a successful home business?
It's just my wife and me, so we don't really have or need any rules.
What
are some of the advantages to working at home? What are some of the disadvantages?
Advantages:
You can make as much money as you want to make.
You can do what you want when you want.
You get to work from home.
You get to be your own boss.
There is no traffic and no politics.
You create it however you want to.
You
learn and grow immensely.
Disadvantages: There are none!
MANAGEMENT STYLE:
What
part(s) of your work do you farm out?
Web design and support.
What
part(s) do you feel should never be farmed out?
Marketing.
Do
you encourage or discourage partnerships?
Depends on the context. My business is all about forming partnerships and
teaching other how to also make money from home.
Do
you encourage or discourage hiring family members?
It all depends on your relationship with them. If it can be done and be effective,
then sure. If not, avoid it because it will only breed upsets.
MONEY & INVESTING:
What
are the advantages of earning a lot of money. What are some disadvantages?
Advantages:
Money gives you freedom and flexibility.
It allows you to do what you choose to do.
It feels good to make lots of money.
It builds confidence.
It allows you to buy what you want.
It
allows you to help and be generous to others.
Disadvantages: There are none!
Best
general tax advice?
Keep track of everything.
Best
general investment advice?
The best investment is the one you make in yourself. As Jim Rohn says: "Work
harder on yourself than you do on your business."
NETWORK MARKETING:
What
do you lead with - your company's products or the business opportunity?
Opportunity. Millions of people are dying to work from home.
Rank
the following traits in order of their importance in building a successful
network marketing business: enthusiasm, persistence,
knowledge, and communication skills.
Persistence, knowledge, communication skills, and enthusiasm. I rank persistence
as the No. 1 trait because with it you can gain all the others; without it
you will most likely quit to soon. Knowledge is next. Knowledge is like the
foundation that everything you do will be built on. Communication skills are
huge. Everything we do involves communication. If you are a good communicator,
you will naturally rise to the top. Enthusiasm is last because it is the least
important. The first three in my mind take precedence.
How
long were you in business for yourself before you saw your first four-figure
commission check...your first five-figure check?
Two years and three years.
What's
more important—the initial contact with a prospect or the follow-up?
They are both equally important.
You've
just recruited a promising new distributor. How do you help him/her get off
to a good start...or do you consider that the new distributor's responsibility?
To answer this question properly I would need at least 100 pages to fully
explain how I get people started properly. I consider it to be to be both
my and the new distributor's responsibility. My part is to give them the info
and training they need. Their part is to actually go through the training
and then run with it.
How
do you get your best leads?
Having lots of sources. That way, good leads can come to you from many places.
I'm
planning a big local meeting; what's the best way to fill the room?
Radio and newspaper ads.
I
need to generate 100 leads within 60 days; what's my best strategy to achieve
this?
Buy them.
How
many distributors must a person recruit each month to succeed in network marketing?
As many as possible.
Best
tips for surviving rejection?
Understand that it is not personal. It's not about you; 99.9% of the time,
the person is rejecting the opportunity, not you.
Do
you recommend that new distributors prospect close friends and family?
No. People's family and friends are most likely not looking for a business.
You want to find those who are looking. Also, most people have no credibility
with their friends and family.
THE ROAD AHEAD:
In
five years I'll be...
Known as one of the top marketers and trainers in the home-business industry.
In
10 years I'll be...
Known as one of the top trainers in the world.
POWERFUL IDEAS:
What
was the motivating factor that drove you to start your own business?
I wanted to be rich, famous, and successful, and I saw this as my ticket.
I also had a subconscious driving force pushing me toward it.
What
role, if any, did your family play when you were getting your business off
the ground?
My wife is my No. 1 supporter. She deserves at least half the credit for everything
I have accomplished. The quote, "behind every great man is a great woman"
is an understatement in her case. She is incredible. I am grateful every single
day for her.
What
motivates you now to continue building your business?
The drive to fully expand and grow into all I know I can be. It's an issue
of personal integrity for me. I know I can do it and it's like a promise to
myself that I have to keep. The passion to teach people what I know has made
such a change in my life.
What's the best thing about being self-employed?
Freedom. Nothing beats being able to get up when you want, do what you want, where you want and when you want without answering to anyone else! Also, the personal growth process you have to go through to get successful is fun and amazing.
How
often do you read books and/or listen to or watch tapes for improving your
business skills or knowledge?
Everday. All the time.
The
most underrated activity in business is…
Taking the time to learn your craft.
The
most overrated activity in business is…
Being too professional. Most people try to act so professional, they actually
block true connection with people.
What
was the biggest obstacle you had to face when you were launching your own
business?
When launching...the fact that I was completely ignorant about business, marketing,
selling, life, myself, everything.
If
you had to start your business all over again, what would you do differently?
Give myself more time to succeed. Most people expect to succeed too quickly
and then when they don't, they quit. You have to realize that it is a process.
You have to be willing to be bad enough for long enough to get good.
What
was your worst business decision?
Trying to do more than one business at once. You can't truly build something
huge when your focus is diverted.
What
was your best business decision?
To always keep working on myself. I keep studying, practicing, learning, inspecting,
and observing.
What
do you consider to be the main keys of your success?
Knowledge, tenacity, action. Knowledge, because as I said before, it is the
foundation from which you build everything. Tenacity means to hold persistently
to something. It is crucial to hold persistently to your vision no matter
what. Finally, without action nothing happens. Action produces forward motion.
The key to success is getting into the natural flow or natural motion of life.
This can only be done if you are in action.
What's
your success philosophy?
Work on yourself harder than you do on your business.
What
about you has changed the most since finding success in business?
My bank account. Everything else changed before.
What
is the legacy you hope to leave?
The truth that you are way more powerful than you can imagine. It is you and
ONLY you creating your results, good or bad. We are that powerful. We can
create whatever life we desire.
